Cultivated leather,

Cell agriculture techniques allow animal products, such LEATHER, to be grown using animal cells in a safe, sterile, and controlled environment from a small sample of cells from the animal.
The production of cultivated leather does not require animal reproduction, farming, or slaughter. Instead, we grow cells on three-dimensional biomaterials, where they expand and produce collagen, the natural foundation of animal leather. Using our proprietary protocol, these cells organize into a thick and resistant 3D structure, forming a real dermis with mechanical properties equivalent to the original skin. This dermis is then processed to obtain genuine leather, with the same excellence and performance, but without slaughter and without environmental impact.

We isolate the
best cells
We start by taking a small sample of cells from a small biopsy in the animal. Our team isolates the cells with the greatest ability to produce collagen.

We produce our cell bank
Our cell lines are immortalized and frozen. This allows us to produce leather at scale without the need for new biopsies.

We cultivate the
cells
We cultivate the cells in three-dimensional biomaterials, where they grow and produce collagen, which is the basis of animal leather.

We produce the animal dermis
We apply our proprietary protocol to form a thick and resistant 3D structure, obtaining a real dermis with the same mechanical properties as the original skin.

We tan our leather in a clean way
We apply our vegetable-tanning protocol, using bio-inputs from Brazil’s biodiversity.
